Home Care Rules Refresher | 3.26.25

Do you have new staff or seasoned staff that need a refresher in the NC Home Care Licensure Rules and Regulations? Join us in A Review of the Rules! Getting back to basics is important when there are so many rules and regulations to be aware of in Home Care. This class will provide an overview of the DHSR rule and impacting laws for Home Care agencies and can help supplement your agency orientation for your new employees or serve as a refresher for current employees, especially those in supervisory roles.

Your Instructor: Kathie Smith BSN, RN

Kathie Smith, BSN, RN has been with the Association for Home and Hospice Care (AHHC) of NC for twenty years and is the Senior Vice President of Home Care and State Relations. Prior to being at the Association, she worked with NC Medicaid in the Home Care Policy section and has extensive experience working with NC DHSR on Home Care licensing rules, laws and regulations. Mrs. Smith provides technical assistance on a number of regulatory issues to agency members and serves as the AHHC primary nurse planner for providing nurse contact hours for continuing nurse education.

Confirmation: Prior to the webinar, you will receive a Zoom confirmation email which will include a join link to access the webinar, a dial-in number and an access code to listen in via telephone. 

Registration Fee: The registration fee covers one individual and one continuing education (CE) certificate (if applicable). Multiple site participation from individuals within your agency will require separate registration. For example: if your agency has paid for 1 participating registration but 3 people from your agency would like to attend (and receive CE credit), your agency will need to pay a separate registration fee for all 3 participants. In addition, if your agency has sent in 1 registration but 3 people from your agency register through the Zoom link, your agency will be invoiced the registration fee for the additional 2 registrations. Sharing of your Zoom link is not permitted.

Continuing Education: This educational activity is eligible for 3.25 nurse contact hours. The Association for Home & Hospice Care of NC is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Cost: $149 for Members and $349 for non members
